The mango, originally from India, it is one the most important fruits of the tropics. It is now grown widely from Mexico, Venezuela to Bolivia, and the West Indies. It prefers hot regions.


Nutritional use

The mango fruit contains a high quantity of vitamin C, A, E, niacin, B1 and B2, as well as minerals such as iron, phosphorus and calcium. Rich in antioxidants and fiber. It is an immune booster and prevents rapid aging.


Medicinal uses

The skin of the fruit is regarded as helpful in hemorrhoids and to expel parasitic ascaris. It is said to prevent diabetes, aid constipation and diarrhea.

The leaves in a decoction are used for stomach ulcers, inflammation, and diabetes.
